Assilah, Morocco. 2019

I visited this place in Morocco and upon entering its medina, so beautifully preserved and living a little day by day with its inhabitants, Gabriel García Márquez's "Macondo" immediately came to mind! That imaginary city with its very particular characters.

For me, Assilah was that Gabriel's Macondo ... I titled this series "Return to Macondo" because that is how I felt when I was there.
